chaos from your space and time.
Time
Saving Tips
 |
Cut down on the time you
spend dusting by using a pair of old gloves or two socks that lost their mates.
Your gloved hand will make fast work and it will be easier to get into the
crevices.
|
 |
Establish a set time each day to sort
through papers and email. If you're working toward a
deadline you have a tendency to move a little faster.
Find a designated area for all papers, preferably a
surface large enough to sort, categorize, and file.
|
 |
If you are behind in your paper work, do
a quick sort and separate the papers that need to be
dealt with in a timely manner from those that you can do
at any time. Divide these into two piles for the first
two weeks of the month and another for the second two
weeks, that way you can deal with them when you need to.
|
 |
Cut down on time spent doing laundry by
sorting by family member. Have a basket for each
member's clean laundry and then each member can put
their clothes away. |
Space Saving Tips
 |
You may not be able to display all of
your things at the same time. Trying to put too much of
a collection on a table or shelf will only distract from
the individual pieces. Put just a few of the pieces out
and give them a space to "breath". Then switch them out
once in a while to create a new fresh look. |
 |
Save your cardboard tubes from your paper
towels and use them to store our electrical cords. |
 |
Save space and time by choosing a
photo-storage system (albums, boxes or digitally), and
stick to. Throw out, delete or send the duplicates,
only keep the photos that turned out, and pitch all of
the wrappers. |
 |
Give your kids boxes to put their things
into; shoe boxes for their little collections, larger
shirt boxes for their papers and pizza boxes for art
work. They can decorate them with wrapping paper or fun
labels. Having a place to put things will help keep
things picked up. |
 |
Put your magazines and newspapers in a
separate space and replace them when the most recent
edition comes. |
 |
Establish limits on the things that you
seem to accumulate; grocery bags, empty plastic
containers, newspapers, etc. by creating a perimeter
either of time or space. |
