Space Saving Tips

traight line filing is often the preferred format over
“scattered” tab placement. It is easier to find files if the
headings are in a straight line and it can save time when you need
to retrieve a file.

ack
with baggies. You will get almost twice as much into your cooler if
you pack foods in plastic bags. Removing the packaging will also
save space. When packing kids for vacations, sort clothes into
plastic bags either an outfit for each day or a bag for socks, a bag
for t- shirts, etc. will save space and time.

A condiment tote can save space,
steps and time for cook outs and picnics. Make one out of a
cardboard six pack covered in a decorative paper.

lean as
you go. Keep a caddy of cleaning supplies handy. Work on one small
space each day.

E equipment and electronic gadgets
often take up valuable desk space. Consider multifunction machines,
stands that can raise and stack equipment, and extending cords so
you can relocate equipment to another surface.

Time Saving Tips

ake it
one small area at a time when you are trying to get the clutter
under control. You will experience instant gratification and it
won’t seem so overwhelming. Try clearing one area of the desk or
sofa, instead of the whole office or room.

ce made from frozen water bottles
will save you the hassle of floating food and give you ice water as
well!

ake
sure that you label your boxes and bags! You will then quickly
identify what is in the box on the top shelf and simplify putting
things away.

E verytime you read a document and
you decide to keep it, make a note in the upper corner what file you
plan to keep it in. When it is time to file, it will be easy to drop
the document into the designated file and you won’t have to re-read
it.
